Secretary of State's Decision and related documents on Lake Lothing Third Crossing.


On 30 April 2020, the Secretary of State for Transport decided under section 114 of the Planning Act 2008 to make an Order granting development consent for the Lake Lothing Third Crossing. The Order comes in to force on 21 May 2020.


The Order authorises the construction, operation and maintenance of the Third Crossing. It also authorises the compulsory acquisition of land; the compulsory acquisition of existing rights over land; and the temporary possession and use of land, for the purposes of the construction, operation and maintenance of the Third Crossing.


Following the making of the Order, the Council is required by section 134 of the Planning Act to notify those who may have an interest in land affected by the Scheme or who might be entitled to make a relevant claim for compensation in respect of land affected by the Third Crossing and also to make available various documents for public inspection.
