Suffolk County Council Cabinet Report
On 25th August 2020 a report was presented to Suffolk County Council’s Cabinet.
The main purpose of this report was to confirm that development consent had been granted by the Secretary of State, to seek authority to award the construction contract, seek approval to submit the Final Business Case (FBC) to the Department for Transport (DfT); provide a thorough financial assessment of the total cost to deliver, operate and maintain the bridge, included an explanation of the robust approach to risk and an assessment of its impact on cost; set out the timetable for the delivery of the bridge project and made proposals for the effective governance and contract management of the construction contract. The report also considered the naming of the bridge.
Following the meeting the Report was unanimously approved.
